The Oregon Titans 16A Doerr/Muranaka team went a perfect 6-0 to take the USSSA July Celebration tournament in Lacey, Washington.  The Titans outscored their opponents 73-7 en route to a dominating tournament championship.

Pool play Game 1, the Titans rolled to a 3-inning run-rule victory over the Racine Diamond Dusters.  Kayden Sullivan, Sophia vanderSommen, Paige Doerr, Maddie Finnigan and Shaylee Custer all had multiple hits in the game, with Doerr picking up 3 RBI as well.  Gracee Wright picked up the pitching win.

Pool play Game 2, the Titans started a little slower but finally got the offense going in the 3rd inning and managed 7 runs on 11 hits for the game, in a 7-2 win over Freedom Fastpitch Fahsholtz.  Kayden Sullivan, Sophia vanderSommen and Kamryn Miller all picked up multiple hits.  Sophia vanderSommen was credited with the complete game win in 5 innings pitched.

Pool play Game 3, another dominant victory for the Titans as they scored in 3 of the 4 innings to earn a 9-0 win over the NPA Sundodgers 18U Lee.  Kayden Sullivan and Alivia Johnson each grabbed a pair of hits in the game, and Sullivan earned the 4-inning shutout in the circle.

Pool play Game 4, two big offensive innings lead to another run-rule victory for the Titans.  A 13-0 win over the Spanaway Huskies 18U to close out pool play.  Sophia vanderSommen, Kalea Blodgett and Maddie Finnigan all had multiple hits, with Finnigan netting 3 RBIs as well.  Alivia Johnson earned the 3-inning win with the shut out.

Bracket Game 1, by virtue of their domination in pool play, the Titans earned a first round bye in bracket play.  In their first bracket game, the Titans met up again with Freedom Fastpitch Fahsholtz.  This time the Titans jumped out to an early lead, scoring in each of the first 3 innings to roll to a 10-0 victory.  Paige Doerr and Kalea Blodgett each had 2 base hits, and both Kayden Sullivan and Maddie Finnigan homered in the game.  Sophia vanderSommen and Kayden Sullivan combined for a 1-hitter with vanderSommen earning the pitching win.

Championship Game, the Titans offense exploded for 19 runs to earn a big 19-4 victory over Oregon Blaze United 18A Elite.  The Titans plated 6 in the first inning to get off to a great start.  Most of the Titan line-up contributed with hits and out hit Blaze 16-9.  KJ Custer, Kayden Sullivan, Sophia vanderSommen, Allyze Pagaoa and Shaylee Custer all had multiple hits in the game, but vanderSommen’s 5th inning grand slam was the big blow, as the Titans score 9 times that inning.  vanderSommen, Alivia Johnson and Gracee Wright all pitched in the game with vanderSommen earning the victory with 3 2/3 innings pitched.
